Attorney Mary C. Pfotenhauer Attorney Mary Pfotenhauer joined the firm in December of 2012. She practices in the areas of estate planning and elder law, real estate and business law, non-profit creation and administration, landlord/tenant law, and municipal law. She also serves as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for minors and adults. Mary is a Mineral Point, Wisconsin native. She graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music History from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2004, and received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison Law School in 2009. Mary then served for one year as a judicial law clerk for the Circuit Court Judges of Oneida and Vilas Counties in northern Wisconsin, followed by a one-year judicial clerkship for the Justices of the High Court of American Samoa, a small U.S. Territory located in the South Pacific. After returning from American Samoa, Mary practiced law for more than a year at Pfotenhauer Law Office in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. Mary recognizes the importance of volunteer service in the community. She is a Director in the Portage Rotary Club, and serves on the Advisory Board for Portage's Historic Indian Agency House. Mary also serves as a volunteer attorney for the Wisconsin State Bar's Wills for Heroes program, which helps draft estate plans for Wisconsin's first responders and their partners. In her free time, Mary enjoys playing the drums and spending time outdoors with her husband and her two rescue dogs. |
